Power Restored After Outage Impacting Downtown Boise
If you live or work in Downtown Boise, you might have been impacted by a power outage that started around 11:00am. Good news, your Valentines Day plans are safe. It’s back on.
The outage lasted less than hour and was caused by what Idaho Power called a “major equipment failure.” Our power at the radio station was out momentarily, but came back quickly. The outage did impact Boise City Hall, Ada County Courthouse, and some BSU locations. They all reported power being restored during lunch time.
I can imagine there are a few restaurants who were quite relieved not to have to cancel Valentines Day Reservations.
Power has been restored to City Hall and services have resumed. Thank you for your patience.
