There is still time to take the short drive to McCall and experience the final weekend of the Winter Carnival.   Here are a few of the memories we created last weekend:
My hubby Kevin and I along with our youngest son Kody (our official photographer) took a quick whirlwind trip to McCall last Friday for our first ever Winter Carnival experience and we had a blast!  We stopped off in Cascade where we checked into the Ashley Inn.  The lobby of the Ashley Inn is still decked out in a Norman Rockwell themed Christmas in support of the all the festivities.

Then we were off to McCall where we got the chance to roam around (and run into a bunch of friends from the Treasure Valley!) and check out some of the snow sculptures but didn't get any pics - too dark.  Then we hit up the beer garden/bonfire area and enjoyed the live band and the fireworks over the lake.

We wrapped up the night with a delicious dinner at Steamers Steak & Seafood restaurant *hint* make a reservation if you want to eat there - they get super busy!  Of course, we did save room for the warm cookies that were waiting for us when we got back to the Ashley Inn.

The Winter Carnival runs through Sunday.   Take advantage of the cheaper gas prices and hop on Highway 55 and head to McCall to create some new memories for you and your family.
