National Doughnut Day is Friday; Score Your Free Treats HERE

Friday is National Doughnut Day and to celebrate, Krispy Kreme is giving you a free doughnut! That's any doughnut of your choice!  It could be powdered, filled or the doughnut they became best known for, their hot original glazed doughnutt! No purchase necessary.

Boise's locally owned doughnut shop, Guru Donuts, is getting in on the fun too!  Stop in for a FREE Old Fashioned Cake Donut with any purchase between 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. while supplies last! You can find Guru Donuts at 928 W Main St in Downtown Boise.

Country Donut on Overland is giving you a chance to win a dozen for telling the them the reason you’re celebrating National Doughnut Day…you just have to stop in the store and get into before Friday morning.

By the way, National Doughnut day began in the late 1930s when the Salvation Army decided to recognize the volunteers who were making huge batches of doughnuts to send overseas to United States soldiers fighting in World War I.
