"I LOVE swimsuit shopping"

Really?!     NO!!!

I haven't gone into a store and actually tried on swimsuits in several years and today I am being forced to do that very thing because on a whim I accepted an invite to join a group of friends at The Springs - Hot Springs Resort in Idaho City.

But you see the problem is we are going TODAY and I don't have anything to wear!  I am cringing at the prospect of actually venturing into a store and picking through either dainty pieces of stretchy spandex or wading through the big frumpy swim dresses with huge floral patterns.  Since I have no idea what will look even marginally okay on me I'll grab some of each and then face the 3D wrap around view of every flaw I possess under the harsh glare of the florescent lights in the dressing room mirrors.

To help take the edge off the anxiety of swimsuit shopping why can't department stores just hand you a free glass (or 2 or 3...) of wine the moment you step into the women's wear section?  I also think a law should be passed that women's dressing rooms should only be lit by a few dimly flickering candles that give off a soft flattering glow.

Wish me luck, I'll need it.  Maybe I'll be able to get through today's shopping excursion if I smuggle in my own Merlot and just leave my sunglasses on the whole time.
