My Girl’s Night Out!

Gelato Cafe is the perfect place to kick off a "Girl's Night Out!"

The new "Magic Mike XXL" movie was a great excuse for a girl's night out!  Since this is a rare occurrence due to our hectic schedules we wanted to make sure it was extra special!  One thing all the girls agreed on was that we absolutely had to start out the evening at Gelato Cafe in Meridian on Fairview between Eagle and Locust Grove.

I had never been to Gelato Cafe but the two girls who had been raved about how refreshing their martini's are with a scoop of Gelato added.  I'm new to both martini's and gelato but I'm always up for a new adventure.  (Besides who doesn't feel sexy holding a martini glass?! and I LOVE rich decadent creamy frozen treats!)

Brian Wetzel the owner of Gelato Cafe was a very gracious host!   We sampled several martini flavors - my two favorites were pina colada and orange dreamsicle.   It was nice and cool inside Gelato Cafe and outside on the patio a live band was playing.  There is also an extensive menu (pizza, sandwiches, grinders, salads) to choose from including fresh made sushi - which we stopped eating just long enough to snap this picture:

Kevin was our chauffeur for the evening and he even got into the spirit and surprised us after the "Magic Mike XXL"  movie by showing up in a tux with the ac blasting in the car!
