Have you been dreaming of that getaway place on Payette Lake?  Part personal escape, part income property?  Another land auction is taking place and could make that reality.

If you haven't heard about these land auctions before, the State of Idaho is putting up 14 lots at Payette Lake as it continues to divest itself from leasing land to cabin owners.  The auction will take place Friday, and not surprisingly, current cabin owners have already filed to participate in the auction.

Previously, income generated from renting the lakefront lots was put toward an education endowment, but there have been ongoing disagreements about the value of the land (and rentals), and how to get maximum investment return for schools.

The State currently plans to sell the residential cottage sites it owns on Priest Lake in Northern Idaho and Payette Lake closer to us by the end of 2019.
