Fire officials warn that access to the Kuna Caves could be shut down after a fire was extinguished in the entrance of the "underground lava tubes that make up Kuna Caves." According to KTVB, firefighters originally got reports of a grass fire near the caves, however, when they arrived they discovered the blaze was coming from inside the base of the entrance.

Officials with the Kuna Fire Department posted on Facebook to warn residents of the consequences if "people continue to cause dangerous situations and treat [the Kuna Caves] poorly."

Luckily, crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, but say it was likely human-caused. The investigation is ongoing.
