Ravens Kicker Justin Tucker Is an Insanely Talented Opera Singer
Forget Coldplay -- get this guy to perform at halftime of this season's Super Bowl.
Tucker sang "Ave Maria" last week at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Mount Vernon, Mary., during the Catholic Charities' Christmas Festival.
Did we say "sang" it? Nailed it like a game-winning 50-yard field goal with the clock hitting zero is more like it.
Tucker, 26, started singing opera while attending the University of Texas. He told the Baltimore Sun belting out "Ave Maria" was very intense.
"It’s way more nerve-wracking to sing in front of a group of people because quite frankly that’s not my element," he said. "Kicking a ball in front of tens of thousands of people in a stadium and a bunch more watching on TV, that’s totally our comfort zone."
