This morning we got word of two cars being stolen after their owners left them running to warm them up.  Come to find out, it's illegal.  I didn't know that until a listener alerted me to it.  Here is the link to the statute.

Here's the way it reads:

TITLE 49
MOTOR VEHICLES
CHAPTER 6
RULES OF THE ROAD
49-602.  Unattended motor vehicle. No person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle shall permit it to stand unattended without first stopping the engine, locking the ignition, removing the key from the ignition, effectively setting the parking brake and, when standing upon any grade, turning the front wheels to the curb or side of the highway.
Tomorrow when it's cold and frosty, remember you can't just leave your car running without an adult in it.
