Is Good Friday a Bank Holiday or Not?

Some offices are closed today and some are not, and it can get a little confusing about whether or not this is one of those holidays that impacts business.

Here's the deal on Good Friday for your bank and the post office.  

GoBankingRates tracks what the banks are doing, and they say all of these banks are OPEN today:

Bank of America
Bank of the West
Capital One Bank
Chase Bank
Citibank
U.S. Bank
Wells Fargo

Based on their website, it looks like Idaho Independent Bank is open too, but click HERE to see if anything has changed.  Same for Idaho Trust Bank.

So it looks like your big fat tax refund will be deposited and credited today without any trouble.  And online Bill Pay will keep flowing without delays too.

Good Friday is not a federal holiday, so the mail is not affected.  The post office keeps running, and most city and county offices will be open too since Idaho doesn't recognize Good Friday as a state holiday.

If you're one of the few with a three-day weekend, you are privileged.  That's awesome.  And if you have the ability to polish off an entire Cadbury Creme Egg in one sitting, I'm even more impressed!  Have a super weekend.
