OK, I admit it, I messed up this weekend.  The only really frustrating thing is that I did what I was supposed to do.  I wore my sunscreen, yet this is what I ended up with.

My kiddo and I spent some time on the water Sunday afternoon.  Three hours to be exact.  I applied SPF 45 sunscreen.  Twice.  This is what I'm dealing with.  Now I will admit, I'm pretty much opaque, so I get that my burn potential was extremely high, but I didn't think it would be this bad.

So, what's the secret?  Do I need to wear a swim shirt?  Should I try to get a "base tan?"  What do you do?  I feel like fried chicken when I stretch and my skin tingles.  How do I avoid this happening again?
