The Idaho House has approved a $51 million dollar tax cut plan last week.  The measure faced concern and push back from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers alike.

The bill was sponsored by House Majority Leader Mike Moyle of Star.  His rationale was that with the state currently having a budget surplus, the State should return some back to taxpayers.  He said that this could help make Idaho more attractive to businesses.

Though opposed by many Democrats and even some Republicans, the bill did pass the House and now awaits review and potential passage in the Senate.
