On Wednesday March 12, The Idaho Statesman stated Idaho Governor Butch Otter signed into law "the bill that allows people with an Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit to bring handguns on Idaho public colleges and universities."

Many of my friends that attend Boise State University posted their thoughts on the new bill via Facebook. Almost all of them stated their concerns with negativity. Surprisingly, all Idaho public universities opposed this bill, but still it was signed in.

Personally, I don't feel that this bill will change anything safety wise on the campus. I am surprised that it was actually signed. I didn't think it would stand a chance with the heads of all Idaho universities opposing it.

Butch Otter is our governor and we Idahoans did vote for him. Now we just have to hope it was the right choice.
