From Humble Beginnings to the Hall of Fame
Congratulations to the Snake River Stampede Rodeo board and the 1000′s of volunteers over the years who’ve worked hard to earn the induction into this year’s Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame!
2015 will mark the official 100th year celebration for the Snake River Stampede Rodeo.
The rodeo has also been a springboard for many community events that I’ve had the privilege of volunteering for such as the annual breast cancer/mammogram fundraiser “Bunco for Boobies,” Miss Rodeo Idaho competition and one of the largest all horse parades in the country.
If you have friends and family visiting, or if you’ve never even been to a rodeo before, it’s definitely worth the short trip to the air conditioned comfort of the Ford Idaho Center to check out this rodeo July 15th-19th.
Hall of Fame status is a pretty big honor for an event that started out in 1911 as just a bucking contest at the Nampa Old Time Harvest Festival!
