Stamp Out Hunger
Help the Idaho Food Bank “Stamp Out Hunger” this weekend, Saturday, May 10th! Later this week, residents of Boise and the surrounding areas will find post cards and special bags in their mailboxes. They may wonder why they’re receiving those bags and what they are supposed to do with them. It turns out, the bags are part of the nation’s largest single-day food drive, and just by putting food in the bags, Treasure Valley residents can help fight hunger in Idaho.
From there, local members of the National Association of Letter Carriers and The National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association will pick up those bags of food, and donations will be heading to those in need without donors ever having to leave your home! (WinCo is providing the bags, but donors can use any grocery bag. Or, donors can come by any of our donation centers all over Boise to drop food off.)
