Boise, ID: The Board of Directors of SPORTSPLEX IDAHO (SPI) has announced an Event to publicly introduce their new Sportsplex to the Treasure Valley. The “Get in the Game!” Event will be held on September 12, 2014 at the Stueckle Sky Center.

SPORTSPLEX IDAHO is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving Idaho by constructing a facility, which will utilize athletics as a vehicle to promote self-esteem, teamwork, and compassion for others. SPI will be the State’s first multi-tiered training and competition venue and will be funded completely through private donations, charitable gifts, and corporate and individual naming agreements.

“SPORTSPLEX IDAHO is the result of months of hard work, dedication, and a belief that, together, we can build a brighter tomorrow for all of Idaho’s youth,” said Carson Sofro, SPI’s Chairman of the Board. “The Impact of its design, functionality, and financial strength to ‘give back’ will be tremendous!”

The SPORTSPLEX IDAHO facility will feature 12 multi-purpose athletic surfaces, a state-of-the-art arena, and a multitude of educational opportunities to inspire tomorrow’s leaders. Once constructed, the $40 million facility will be 100% financially self-sufficient, operating solely on its own revenues.

The “Get in the Game!” Event will be an evening of entertainment and participation by professional athletes. Motivational speaker, Troy McClain, will be the Master of Ceremonies. Idahoans will remember when McClain won the hearts of Americans during Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice”.

The “Get in the Game!” co-chairs are Angie Berman and Megan Carnahan. Becky Breshears, President of Plan Ahead Events, is the coordinator for the Event. Sponsorship opportunities and tickets may be purchased through the SPORTSPLEX IDAHO website www.sportsplex.com/afrogs.org.
