Go ahead and try to get to our room, I dare ya'.

Starting November 1st, dogs will be able to run free in Ann Morrison Park from the fountain to Americana Blvd.  This happens until Feb. 28th when soccer season starts.

It's a way to get the lawn killing geese off the grass.  Geese can devastate a lawn and they leave other things to step in.  So Boise Parks and Recreation started a program where you can let your dog off its leash, catching a goose is a bonus.

Ok, who's next.

We have standard poodles, two acres of lawn and no geese.  We used to have them, but with the poodles roaming our place the geese don't even land.  I would love to let our bunch free at Ann Morrison park except they also tend to make any other dog around their biatch. No they really do and once the dog knows its place in the pack everything is good, until then it's not pretty.

The only reason he looks fat is his fur.

It's funny but our poodles are like kids, they will pick on each other, but when another dog enters the room it's everyone pile on the new guy.  I remember the first time it happened, some friends of ours thought it would be fun to bring their 8 month old German something or other over.  They were mortified as not only did all 7 of our poodles take turns, but while some were teaching that teenager who was boss, another would be holding down its head.  We haven't seen that dog since, for that matter we haven't seen that couple either.

So bring your dogs to Ann Morrison Park and let them off the leash between the fountain and Americana Blvd starting November 1st.  If you see a batch of big and I mean really big, lean poodles, it's your call as to how much you want your dog to learn and you want to see.
