Christmas in the Treasure Valley is almost here! All of the construction fencing on the Grove is gone, and it's because they're preparing for the holiday season!

If you were taking the Connector into Downtown Boise on Monday morning, you may have seen a giant Blue Spruce on the back of a tractor trailer making it's way to The Grove.  According to KTVB, the 40 year old tree belonged to the Fabbi family who used to bring it in and out of their home in a tub to use as their Christmas tree until it got so large that it couldn't fit in the home anymore. They eventually planted it in their West Boise yard where they continued to put lights on it every year.

Now that tree will spend the holiday season in The Grove Plaza.  The Downtown Boise Tree Lighting takes place on Friday, November 25th from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. Mayor Bieter invites families to come join in Christmas carols and the candle lighting ceremony!

Tags will be placed on the giving tree on the Grove to help provide warm clothing and Christmas gifts for the Women's and Children's Alliance.
