Celebrating cherries in Emmett

The 8th annual Emmett Cherry Festival gets started today, and runs through Saturday June 14th in Emmett City Park. Dating back to the 1930’s, Emmett and surrounding Gem County gather during the second week of June to celebrate the abundance provided by the Emmett Valley in the region’s longest continually running festival.

The event is marked by concerts, a carnival, a bake off and cherry pie eating contest, a rodeo, The Miss Gem County & Gem County Outstanding Teen Pageant, an art show, vendors and of course the Cherry festival Parade on Saturday at 6 PM and more!
