The Boise State Broncos have landed a highly sought-after recruit who said he got a great vibe from the school immediately, and didn't even need a second visit to confirm this is where he needs to be.  And he loves that blue turf!

Billy Bowens visited Boise State a few weeks ago and had planned to come back around for a second visit, but told 247Sports.com that after talking it over with his family, he just knew deep down inside that the Broncos could be a good fit.  No extra visit necessary.  Bowens commits to the Broncos over offers from BYU, Colorado State, Fresno State and UNLV.  With Cedrick Wilson graduating, the Broncos will be looking for more big-play receivers.

Bowens is a high school star at Redlands East Valley High School in California, and although the weather up here may be a little chillier than he's used to, he's a big fan of the blue turf, the people, the culture, and the pride we all have in the program.

The Broncos coaching staff encourages the players to be good both on and off the field, and they make the program about a lot more than football, according to Bowen.  He's excited about that.

This makes me an even bigger fan of the Broncos, knowing that the program thinks so much about the community, and life after football.  And Bowens sounds like the perfect addition to help keep it all going.  We'll watch for him next fall.
