Here's something you don't hear everyday with public repair projects:  The (Broadway Bridge replacement) project is running on schedule.

The closure of Broadway has meant alternative routes for drivers, bicyclists, runners, and walkers, though construction crews have done their best to make accommodations for those impacted.

There is the protected lane on Myrtle/Park to keep access to the Greenbelt path and, for most drivers, they have adjusted to not using Broadway.

Still, it will be nice to have the bridge and access back as it impacts pedestrians moving to and from the BSU campus and downtown, and makes the drive into downtown a big more direct.

The goal is to have the new bridge open in time for the first BSU football game of next season.
