After learning of Boise Police K9 Jardo's passing, the Treasure Valley sprung into action to make sure he had hero's goodbye.

Taco Bell Arena was filled with hundreds of police officers from all across Idaho, firefighters, and military officers as well as thousands of citizens who came out to pay respect to the fallen K9.

It was a very somber but touching memorial service. Mayor Dave Bieter, Boise Police Chief Bill Bones, and others close to Jardo spoke in honor of our lost comrade.

Thank you Boise for giving a very proper and generous goodbye to our hero. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, and Jardo's brother and sister K9's barked their goodbyes during the ceremony.

Godspeed, Jardo. May you rest in peace.
