If you've walked the greenbelt or crossed any of our bridges lately, you've probably noticed, the Boise River is running high and fast.

In fact, it's about 5 times what it would normally be this time of year.

This has led to closures along the Greenbelt due to the high water levels.

The river is running fast, high, and the water is extremely cold, so officials are reminding us to be careful, stay away from the river, and to keep our pets at a safe distance as well.

Our news partner, KTVB Newschannel 7 has updated information.
