Nationally ranked barbecue masters are going to be grilling up their best stuff this weekend in Boise, and that may be good for all of our taste buds.

The Rock'N Brews and BBQ Festival is happening, and it's free to get in.

Boise Weekly says the Rock'N Brews and BBQ Festival is the official, Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned barbecue competition, and that always draws a crowd.

Have you seen these types of barbecue competitions on Food Network during a Saturday afternoon on the couch, and without even thinking about it you polished off an entire bag of barbecue chips and a hot dog because your mouth was watering and you had to do something about it?  I'm asking for a friend. Don't let that happen to you. Check out the real thing this weekend because it's better.

The Rock'n Brews BBQ Festival runs from 11am to 5pm Saturday, September 16th, at the Boise Spectrum,  and that's 7609-7709 West. Overland Road in Boise.  They'll have food vendors, beer, music and retail vendors, and you'll be able to walk around and taste that good barbecue from the competitors instead of drooling over it on the couch.

Another reason we love Boise in the fall.  Festivals!
