NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams ("America's Most Trusted Newsman") fessed up that he really was not on a helicopter in Iraq about 12 years ago that took on deadly RPG fire and was forced to land.  He was actually on board another helicopter that arrived an hour after all the drama happened.

Problem is Mr. Williams has been telling his version of the story for so long that he is claiming he didn't lie, he simply "misremembered" how the event actually unfolded.

He came clean on the news last night, not because he wanted to clear his conscience, it was because he got called out on Facebook by the actual soldiers who were on the helicopter that took on fire and made the emergency landing.

Is this simply a case of "misremembering" or did he just get caught blatantly lying?
