A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Shantel

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Our eighth wish went to Shantel, a mom of three little girls who's hubby is out of commission.

Carlene, Shantel's mom, nominated her for a Christmas Wish after Shantel's husband was injured on the job. At first, they didn't think it would be an huge burden on the family but after he didn't respond to physical therapy for the back injury, he was referred to a surgeon who wanted to operate right away. The surgery took place around Thanksgiving.  While he's on the mend, he's only getting a part of his paycheck.

That's really putting the crunch on the family's Christmas budget.  Paying medical bills on a reduced income means there's not a lot of money left over to give three very sweet little girls a Christmas gift this year.  Shantel's been trying to make up the difference by selling her crafts she makes with her Silhouette machine.  (I do something similar in my spare time so I just had to check our her creations! She really does a spectacular job on her crafts and offers her customers a lot more than I've ever been able to! Check them out HERE.)

Craftin' ain't easy...or always super profitable, so we were really happy to be part of making Christmas happen for Shantel's family this year.
