A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Christina

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Our tenth wish went to Christina, a mom who's got a lot on her plate right now.

Kristi's the supervisor that you hope to work for one day.  She nominated one of her employees, Christina, for a Christmas Wish after finding out why she burned through her paid time off and continued to request days off, even though they were unpaid.

Christina's a mom of three little boys and at the ages of three, one and four months, you know she and her husband have their hands full! Unfortunately, the littlest one came down with RSV and spent last weekend in the hospital.  That's another medical bill heading toward the family's mailbox on top of the mounting ones for their middle child who was just diagnosed Muscular Dystrophy.

Money's already tight for the family since Christina's husband works for a small company and he's not always guaranteed 40 hours a week.  She's had to take unpaid days off from work because being home with the kids, in the long run, is less costly than putting the boys in daycare.

Kristi said Christina doesn't talk about what her's family is going through often and that it's hard to watch such an amazing, hardworking woman fall on tough times where she might not be able to provide a full Christmas experience for three deserving little boys.

That's why Jeff Connell piled into our Team Subaru of Nampa Forester Delivery Sleigh and met up with Kristi inside the office with a surprise for Christina! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to give them a gift cards for groceries and gifts for the kids, dinner at Smoky Mountain Pizzeria Grill and a $50 gas card.  We're also looking forward to meeting the family in person at the Canyon County Kids Expo! Their oldest is a huge fan of Skye from Paw Patrol and we gave them enough tickets for everyone to come out and meet her in person this January!
