A LITE-FM Christmas Wish for Anne

LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Our fifth wish went to Anne, an incredible single mom who's facing homelessness this holiday season.

Nominated by her co-worker, Lorena, Anne's got a lot on her plate this Christmas.  She's a single mom to a 5-year old little boy named, Jace.  Right now, the family is living in a Treasure Valley homeless shelter while Anne's trying to beef up her resume to land a job as a Data Tax Clerk at the courthouse.

Lorena hired her as an office assistant at a local daycare to help her build on some of the skills they're looking for.  Anne's excelled in the position and even discovered that she's got a real gift for leading kids at the daycare in fun and educational activities!

While finding affordable housing is a long term goal, Lorena knew that one of Anne's immediate needs was a new coat and shoes for Jace.  She reached out to us and we were able to put together a fun surprise that also included a chance for Anne to get herself some new outfits for when she goes back to interview for that clerk job again.
