LITE-FM's Christmas Wish is back, thanks to our friends at Pioneer Federal Credit Union. On Miracle Marathon Day, our first stop was to see Andy, a single dad who recently got custody of his three kids.

When Mary Lou told us that her brother Andy was a hard worker, it didn't take us long to realize that.  Andy's had a string of bad luck that's caused him to experience homelessness and poverty over the past two years.  The only real bright spot? After Andy's kids went though some traumatic experiences outside of his care, he was able to gain full custody of all three of them.

He's working so hard to provide a safe, stable environment for them to grow-up in but just can't seem to catch a break.  They don't have a stable home and have been bouncing back and forth between family member's homes and motels.

He's had a bad string of luck with his vehicle as well.  He love his car, but it was overheating daily and he had to carrie a gallon of water and antifreeze with him daily to keep it running. Unfortunately, this week it appears to have really died and he no longer has stable transformation to get to his full time job or take the kids to school.

When our friends Brent and Jeremiah at City of Trees Real Estate heard his story, it touched their hearts.  Both of them are dads and they wanted to help get this dad back on his feet, so they reached out to some friends of theirs.  They know a really fantastic mechanic who offered to tow and try to fix Andy's car for him!

Jeff Connell jumped into the Team Subaru of Nampa Forester delivery sleigh to deliver the good news.  The guys loaded Jeff up with a bunch of other goodies to help Andy get through the holidays.  That included a $100 Walmart gift card, a Maverick gas card and a WinCo gift card. They also wanted to make sure that the kids could to have some normal, stable childhood experiences so Brent and Jeremiah are sending them bowling at Meridian Lanes, to check out the lights at Winter Garden aGlow, to play at Wahooz and Pinz and when summer rolls around, Roaring Springs.  They also included some coffee cards from their friends at the Human Bean for Andy to fuel up and the kids to enjoy some hot chocolate.  Finally, we were able to cover Andy's stay at the motel for another week.
